BATTLE OVER WILL ARRIVES IN COURT: WOMAN WHO TRIED TO BE ADOPTED BY DEAD UNCLE DEFENDS TRUST
Shirley DiPace adopted a plan whereby she was adopted by her dead uncle. We represented the disinherited nephews and nieces and were successful in setting aside Mrs. DiPace's post death adoption. We brought claims for undue influence, conversion, breach of fiduciary duty and tortious interference.

NIECE RETURNS TO COURT, DEFENDS CHALLENGED WILL
We asserted that the defendant had unduly influenced the deceased in adopting his nephew's wife and in changing his estate plan. The court agreed that we had sufficent evidence to go to trial on the matter.

DEAD PEOPLE CAN'T ADOPT, JUDGE RULES IN LOCAL CASE
After our clients' uncle died they learned that he had adopted his nephew's wife. The adoption was done to raid the uncle's estate. We were successful in setting aside the adoption to reinstate the estate plan of our clients' uncle.
